Core Web Vitals
Definition
Core Web Vitals are a subset of Web Vitals, which are quality signals that are crucial to delivering a great user experience on the web. They focus on three aspects of user experience: loading performance, interactivity, and visual stability.
The three Core Web Vitals metrics are Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), which measures loading performance; First Input Delay (FID), which measures interactivity; and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), which measures visual stability. Google Search Console provides a dedicated report for Core Web Vitals, helping website owners identify and fix issues that could be impacting their site's user experience and, consequently, its search performance.
