Schema Markup
Definition
Schema Markup, also known as structured data, is a semantic vocabulary of tags that you can add to your HTML to improve the way search engines read and represent your page in SERPs. It was created by major search engines, including Google, Bing, and Yahoo, to create a common language for describing content on the web.
Schema Markup can enhance your search listings with rich snippets, which may include star ratings, product prices, event dates, and more. In Google Search Console, you can use the Rich Results report to see how Google interprets the structured data on your site. The URL Inspection tool also allows you to test and validate your schema implementation for individual pages. Properly implemented schema can potentially improve click-through rates and provide users with more informative search results.
